Hotel Remàt

A dog couldn’t ask for much more. I got a tiny bite of the delicious croissants and cheese at the included breakfast, and all the staff were welcoming and wanted to say hello. Our lovely little hotel was right in the heart of Garda, just steps from the lakeside promenade. My room was amazing, with windows onto Piazza Catullo in the historic Centre, so it was easy to get out for walks, food, drinks, and people-watching. Some stairs were no problem for us. We loved the location, the exceptionally friendly staff, and the very good restaurant. It’s our favorite place in Italy, and we’d go back.

The view and setting were perfect, and the food was excellent. The waiters were sweet, too. The hotel looks a little uninviting from the outside, and if you don’t see anyone around, you might think it’s closed. There’s no visible reception downstairs, so you have to ask the waiters, but reception is upstairs. With a little patience, we found people helpful and kind. Our room was quite big and everything was clean. The bed was very hard, so I’m glad we didn’t stay too long.

A lovely place to use as a base in Garda. The setting is wonderful, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with lovely lake views. It has a modern feel while keeping a traditional style.
