The staff were cheerful and kind, and the prices were affordable. For a week-long stay, this hotel had everything we needed, and we were very happy. It wasn't spectacular, but it didn't need to be. I booked a room for two with separate beds, but we got a family room with a collapsible bunk bed instead. That mattress was a bit firm for me, and the pillows were rather flat, though there were enough to stack and I slept just fine. The double windows kept out the street noise really well, and there was air conditioning. The outside of the building looked a little aged, maybe rustic, but the rooms were clean and well kept. We had breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast was a small buffet with a mix of food and drinks. I recommend the peach, maybe apple, juice from the machine. It wasn't anything special, but had the basics like croissants, fruit, milk, and eggs with bacon and/or sausages. Dinner's menu changed a little each day, with a few regular dishes like pizza and salads. With the inclusive option, you could choose two courses from the last two pages, and there were some really nice options. Try the sea-bass if you like fish. Dishes with cheese had a lot of it. I usually don't mind, but wow, that was a lot. The little spa is tucked into a renovated storage area, I assume because of the vaulted ceiling. They've turned it into a lovely hideaway for two, which you can use for an hour at a time. There's a small jacuzzi, sauna, waterfall shower, plus tea, water and biscuits. Bring soap and shampoo for the shower. Also, you can't share the jacuzzi unless you're only dipping your feet in. I really enjoyed the spa, and it was a nice thing to do on a lazy morning or rainy day. We also went to the private beach, a patch of grass with a little bar. You can get a ticket at reception. I think it was free because it was the off season, but usually you have to pay extra for it. After a short walk, we reached the beach, and the staff there put out chairs and a parasol for us right away. The water was still quite nice. It was a very chill way to spend the afternoon, but bring water shoes because the beach is all small pebbles. In summer, you may need to book some services at reception quite early. The hotel is in a good hiking area with some nice views nearby. If you have a car, Sirmione is worth the drive, a little under an hour away. I also really enjoyed the small botanic garden a little way down the mountain.
