Lovely owners and a great stay.

La colazione era più che abbondante, perfetta per affrontare le lunghe giornate passate a visitare posti meravigliosi. Un altro grande vantaggio è il servizio bici, che permette di spostarsi liberamente nel pieno rispetto dell'ambiente. La camera era accogliente e pulita, e tutto il soggiorno è stato fantastico. Ci tengo a segnalare l'accoglienza di Dora, calorosa e premurosa. Sicuramente da ritornare...

The self-service breakfast was a real letdown. It had packaged bread and croissants, mediocre biscuits, one kind of cereal, UHT milk and coffee. No barley, gin and tonic, decaf, herbal tea, fruit, eggs, cold cuts, or cheese. There were just two liters of fruit drinks in the fridge. The room was very cold, with a freezing floor, and the old windows let in a lot of drafts. The heat pump barely kept the temperature acceptable overnight. The renovated bathroom was cold too, with only a small electric radiator for heat. At €92 for the night, it absolutely wasn’t worth it.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom had the necessary amenities. On arrival, the bed and bathroom were clean and tidy, with essential towels. There was a 5-gram bar of soap and two small liquid soap samples, but nothing else. We were told these were a courtesy, which was new to me, so I made a note and went to buy what we needed. The next day, the room wasn’t made up and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. We asked promptly and politely, but by evening nothing had changed. The following day, I pointed out Lombardy Region B&B requirements: cleaning living units whenever guests change and at least twice a week, plus daily room tidying and bathroom cleaning. On the evening of day two, the room was tidied and the bathroom cleaned. After that, though, both services were completely ignored for the remaining days instead of addressing the unmet requirements properly. I hope this feedback helps make the place more appealing in future, perhaps by listing the service on the website and bringing it back. The parking is indoors, on paved but dusty gravel, with lots of wild weeds, though there’s enough space for all guests. Out of respect for Manzoni, I’ll leave the website’s wording about the property uncommented.
