The olive grove setting gives this property plenty of potential, but I found the asking price too high, especially given the distance from the sea and the condition of Chalet Salvia. The bathroom needs attention: the toilet seat looks damaged, water leaks from it, the shower has mold, and the bidet and sink drains are rusty. The bidet tap also needs to be tightened fully to shut off, or it makes a constant annoying noise. There was also a cracked, broken pane in the bedroom window. Getting in means passing through a private gate on the property. Dogs are often loose there. Most were tame, but one had to be taken away by its owners twice. It wasn't dangerous, but it made for an unpleasant situation.

For two days of competitions at the Garlenda golf course, this agriturismo was ideally located. I chose it after reading reviews on several websites. The spacious room was comfortable and clean, the building was new, and the owner was helpful and thorough about cleaning. I thought the price was excellent for what I got. A few things could use some attention: the mosquito screen was hard to slide, the door was difficult to lock, and the wooden bed frame creaked a lot. Guests should also be told before arrival that the bathroom has no hairdryer. Wi-Fi was a bit unstable, though the wired internet worked perfectly.

A lovely pool for cooling off, with clean little bungalows in the countryside, equipped with every comfort. The setting in the hills above Alassio feels like a little paradise surrounded by nature. Highly recommend it.
