Hotel Nautic

It's on the main avenue, and the people at reception were friendly and professional. My room, though, still had beds that hadn't been made and towels left by the previous guests. A clear oversight, since everything else seemed normal. There was a coffee machine and drinks available.

The location made a big difference: the beach and seafront are just steps away, and the main street below is closed to traffic in the evenings. You have a pharmacy, bars, restaurants and shops right there. My room also had a little balcony facing the sea, a desk and plenty of power outlets. It was large, the mattresses were comfortable, and I slept really well. I was impressed by how carefully the place was cleaned. I was never woken or disturbed by staff in the morning, and nobody knocked or came into my room while I was in bed, unlike at some other hotels. The staff and owners were kind and helpful, and communication and attention to detail were good from booking through the stay. You get an electronic key for both your room and the front entrance, so you can come and go without time restrictions. It's a two-star hotel, but it's very well looked after and has an original feel, even without Grand Hotel furnishings. The bathroom is simple, functional and clean. It had a shower stall with no problems, a bidet, towels, a shower mat, soap at the sink and in the shower dispensers, a hair dryer, a wastebasket and diaper pails. There were no unpleasant smells, and the window opening to the outside was much better than an annoying, ineffective fan. Basically, everything I needed was there. I didn't use the air conditioning because I preferred the fresh sea air, one of the benefits of being so close. It's a B&B without breakfast, but there are coin-operated machines in the lobby for drinks, snacks and coffee. They also offer discounts at nearby bars, restaurants and beach facilities. I'd rather have a proper cappuccino and fresh pastries at the hotel's partner café in the square than the usual Riviera hotel breakfast with ham, cheese, frozen croissants, and machines for cappuccino and juice, so this suited me. I booked at a really good price and expected much less than I got. The photos were accurate and showed the room I was assigned. In person, it was even better than it looked in the pictures. I've attached a panoramic view I took myself. I can only recommend the place for the value.

We had a really nice stay, and the reception team were friendly and helpful. For a two-star hotel, they're very well organized. The rooms have what you need, the bathrooms have been renovated, and everything was clean and fresh smelling. Credit to the staff for that. Outside, everything is close by, and the hotel offers 10% off at several restaurants, piadina shops and other places to eat. Downstairs there are two vending machines with soft drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, snacks and breakfast options, plus four tables and chairs where you can eat. We give it three stars. Thanks!

I appreciated the fair price and all the restaurant and beach suggestions, including places with discounts. The staff were especially accommodating on day one, when they had our room ready for us at 10:00, which never happens. It's right in the center and extremely clean. I'll recommend Hotel Nautic to people I know. Thank you.
