I booked five non-refundable nights at Il Palagone Hotel & Golf Resort for September 2025, for around 1400 euros. More than four months ahead, my partner asked to cancel because of very personal, unexpected circumstances: the couple we were supposed to travel with are going through a divorce, so the trip could no longer happen. The hotel refused any flexibility and wanted to keep the full payment. Booking.com told us the choice was the hotel's, but they weren't willing to help or even discuss alternatives, despite there still being plenty of time to rebook the room. I know policies exist, but the complete lack of compassion was disappointing. With the emotional and financial strain, a little empathy would have meant a lot. Based on how they responded during a difficult time, I can't recommend this hotel.

AMAZING!!!! We had four days here and loved golfing and eating at the restaurant every day. The chef and wait staff were amazing! Even though we came right at the end of the season, we still felt so welcome and cared for. The wine, tiramisu, ravioli, and penne were our favorites. They speak English too. Special shoutout to Annamaria ❤️!

The poolside restaurant has a very pretty, romantic setting, and the staff were courteous. The meal itself let the place down, though. The chips were lukewarm, the tomato sauce on the pizza tasted bitter, and the large salad for 8 euro felt like a ripoff, especially given the plate size and depth shown in the photo. The schiaccia was good, to be fair.

A family-friendly golf club in the Tuscan countryside, with hotel apartments, two restaurants, pools, a health club, and a spa.

A great base among olive groves and wineries, with a really good price for the quality. The staff are lovely, there are lots of things to do, and the pool is excellent. I’d recommend staying at least five nights.
