The pipes and drains seem just as old as the rest of the place. Our toilet wouldn’t flush, for example, and reporting it didn’t help, nobody came to fix it. The hotel feels frozen in the '80s, right down to the public telephone. If you still have Italian lire, you could try making a call on it. A film director looking for a Cold War setting wouldn’t need to look any further.

The rooms were dirty, there was no internet, and the staff couldn’t understand even basic English. The sockets felt so flimsy that the slightest movement while plugging something in could break them. This was my worst encounter ever.

A lousy experience. The place looks run down, there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms, and there was no hot water.

The rooms and food were good. Breakfast gets 1/4.

I’d avoid staying here. The hotel was poor, poor, poor.
