Carlo’s hospitality was wonderful, and the breakfasts were something my daughter and I looked forward to every morning during our three-night stay. The place was very clean and our room comfortable, though it was a bit dark because it faced a small inner courtyard. I’d have liked the option to decline daily cleaning. They cleaned everything each day, including the shower, toilet, and floors, and guests are expected to leave the room. Once we were asked to leave while napping, and another time we returned during cleaning and had to wait in the common area. It’s great that everything is spotless, but doing this daily felt excessive. The building can also get loud early in the morning. Someone in the adjoining building tapped on the wall each morning; the first time, at 7 am, we jumped out of bed thinking someone was knocking at our door. 😂 It’s tucked away and mostly pretty quiet, especially for the center of the old town. These are small things, though, and wouldn’t stop me coming back for Carlo’s delicious breakfasts and sweet nature. Thanks for the great cappuccinos, Carlo!

Just one night in this beautiful apartment, and it was perfect for us. The kitchenette was available to use, and we really appreciated the water and coffee machines. It’s in a brilliant location that’s still quiet. Super-clean and comfortable, and I’d thoroughly recommend staying here. Thanks, Carlo, for a fabulous stay in a wonderful city.

Carlo made the stay memorable, with kindness, helpfulness, and real attentiveness. The rooms have character and were quiet and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast had an extensive choice of everything you’d want while visiting Italy. This was one of the most memorable stops on our European adventures, and when we return to explore Genova further, we won’t hesitate to visit Carlo at the Affittacamere again.

Our room was even nicer than the pictures, so cute and full of character, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The B&B is run by a very sweet couple who were accommodating and showed us beautiful frescos painted on their ceiling from the 15th (??) century. Such a lively spot right in the center of the old town. This is the perfect place to stay in genoa!

The room is a little dark, but the location is superb. The family running this B&B are lovely, kind, and accommodating. For less than EUR 100 (in 2024) per night, there’s not much more you could ask for.
