The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient: about five minutes on foot from a large train station and ten from the main plaza, with plenty of shops and cafes. It's a cheap place with air conditioning, so you get what you pay for. The little hotel feels rustic, and the room decor is very dated. Some plumbing and electrical fittings are exposed and look a bit worrying. During my three nights there, nobody serviced the room, so the towels weren't changed and the bins weren't emptied. The shower was either cold or hot, with no comfortable middle setting. Improvements would help, but don't expect luxury.

The building is beautiful and the neighborhood felt safe. We found the location excellent, and the staff were very helpful. A great hotel for a visit.

We stayed for two days and had a really good time. The staff were lovely, friendly, and available around the clock. There was a nice city view from the balcony, and the room had a hair dryer, a flat screen, and a refrigerator. It was very clean, though the mattress felt a little hard, and there was some city noise. Breakfast was Italian, with good coffee, served from 8 to 10. You can also get breakfast at carefour, a two-minute walk away, and eat it in the dining room. Sightseeing spots are roughly 10 to 15 minutes away. Bike parking is in a side alley near the hotel, but it felt safe.

There is a 24-hour reception, and they can store your luggage if you need that. For the price, it was fair. The hotel is on the fifth floor of a beautiful historic building, in a very good area near both the train station and city center sights. The rooms are very small, with tiny bathrooms and no view. The reception staff didn't speak English, so communicating was rather difficult.

The reception was friendly and open 24/7, but nobody spoke English, and they wouldn't let us have someone visit our room for an hour. We couldn't sleep because the people next door had their TV on. The room and shower were small, and the bathroom door doesn't really shut, it works more like a curtain. There's no parking.
