The owners were excellent hosts at this oasis on the outskirts of Genova. If you’re driving up the hill, ask them for help first. The streets are very narrow, steep, and difficult to navigate.

My son loved the garden, with its hot tub, bocce court, tidy grounds, loungers and gazebo. The place is surrounded by nature and has lovely relaxing sounds and smells, so it could suit a few quiet days. But on our last afternoon we were kept in our room from 5:00 PM until about 9:00 PM because a family party was taking place, and we couldn't enjoy the garden or outdoor area. Maybe that was unusual, but if we'd known, we wouldn't have booked. Getting there was a problem for us. The road is difficult for larger cars, and we got a flat tire even though my husband is an expert driver. That wasn't mentioned when booking, or we'd have looked elsewhere. A small car should be fine. Parking is tiny too, so with many guests it takes real skill to park on the steep road. Breakfast was nothing special. Sorry for the unpleasant points, but that's what happened to us.

It's incredibly quiet here, tucked into a wooded valley, and there's a lovely cool garden with a hot tub. You could easily spend the whole day there. The rooms seemed brand new and were spotless, with smart TVs, great wifi, a fridge with drinks at reasonable prices, and air conditioning included. The hosts were really special. The setting is in Genoa's green hills, among little groups of houses and winding, often narrow roads. It's still only 6-7 km from the city center, and buses run from about 7-800 meters away. For the final few hundred meters, use Waze and check in with the owners: the road is very narrow, with a steep climb and then an equally steep descent. Bigger vehicles could struggle, especially if you're not used to Genoa's hill roads. You can leave a larger car before that stretch and walk, or the girls who run the place can pick you up. Highly recommended!
