A miserable experience. It was dirty and felt toxic, and there were even ants. You could hear people opening and slamming doors, and it always seemed like midday. The climb was a kilometer long. The photos are misleading, with just two showing crumbling walls. Trust me, don't go. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The location was really convenient: two minutes from the train station and bus stops, including the Volabus to the airport. Even so close to the station, we weren't bothered by noise in the evening. The apartment had all the comforts we needed, from a microwave and induction cooktop to plates, glasses, and a coffee maker. Everything was simple but impeccable, and the bathroom and shower were clean. The owner was very friendly and kind, and even supplied a crib and high chair for our youngest. We had a wonderful family vacation. Thanks for everything, Raffaella and Stefano.

Finding the apartment the first time was a nightmare, even though our very kind host had given us directions. A very nice gentleman tried to show us the way, but stopped at the top of a ridiculous hill. The right street was halfway up, a narrow one that's easy to miss. With a stroller, be prepared to need a lot of help getting around. Once there, though, we found a large apartment with a nice Murphy bed, a single bed, a double bedroom, a small kitchen, and a bathroom. It also had two TVs, a microwave, an induction stove, and a spacious shower. The host was very friendly, and Bar l'Isola, an excellent place for breakfast, was a minute away on foot. The location is amazing, just 20 meters as the crow flies from Genoa's Principe station, and a 20-minute bus ride from the airport. If you've been before, you'll find it right away, and once outside you're ready to explore the city. The main problem was the upstairs neighbors, who seemed to walk around barefoot. Their footsteps echoed above the main bedroom until 2 a.m. and made it hard to fall asleep. The pillows were also too thin and could be better.

We stayed in early July with four friends. The apartment was spotless and close to the station, with easy access to both the city center and the aquarium. The owner was especially friendly and helpful, and deserves a special mention.
