B&B Fiera del Mare

I spent three nights here and appreciated how central it was. The sea view is wonderful, and the trade fair is just steps away. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable, with fast Wi-Fi; the bathroom was very spacious and had a beautiful bathtub. Parking costs extra, but having it inside the property is really convenient when parking is hard to find in Genoa. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, though a bit pricey.

We came to Genoa for two days to see the city, aquarium, and Galata Museum. I needed a place for five people across two families, with two bathrooms, indoor parking, breakfast, and separate entrances. This worked out very well. It's a 15-minute walk to the center and 20 minutes to the aquarium, with buses just nearby. A ten-minute walk brings you to a newer area with restaurants and pizzerias away from mass tourism. The house has old-fashioned decor and period furniture that took me back to my grandmother's home. The only real snag was a strong mothball smell in the closets. I'd have aired the rooms before we arrived, but opening the windows for a few hours and using some nice perfume sorted it out. Dario and his mother were wonderful, helping us from the day we booked, with our requests, at breakfast, and right up to our goodbyes. If I get back to Genoa, this is where I'll stay.

Dario, the young manager, was helpful, friendly, and humble, and the owners keep this beautiful, austere 19th-century villa in immaculate condition. The B&B is about a 15-20 minute walk from the city center, and you can see the sea from the window. Breakfast was standard, while cleanliness and comfort were top-notch. I chose it for the strategic location, though being on a bend in a very busy road doesn't help. And that whole black and red number setup is a headache if, like us, you rely on GPS. I'd love to come back soon. Highly recommended.

We've stayed here twice, and Isabella was incredibly kind and attentive both times. The service was truly superb, and the bright, beautiful room was spacious and well worth returning to. It's a quiet, clean, peaceful B&B, with guests in a large private suite made up of a bedroom, bathroom, and breakfast room, plus a completely separate entrance. The location is excellent, overlooking the sea and only a ten-minute walk from central Genoa.
