We came to Genoa because my six-month-old nephew was in the Gaslini oncology unit, unfortunately. It’s very close to the hospital and easy to get to. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed that felt comparable to a five-star hotel. Simply perfect. Thank you so much. We’ll definitely come back.

I stayed there March 16-17. Room 0, the one assigned to me, was full of mold. I reported the problem and sent photos, but all the other rooms were occupied. My family and I had to stay because we had an appointment at Gaslini hospital the next day, and didn’t feel up to making a fuss or finding somewhere else. The woman apologized, but I think they should at least have offered a discount on the €120 charge for one night. It wasn’t a hygienic place to sleep: there was mold on the walls, grout, and window frames, including in the bathroom. Just thinking about it makes me shudder!

The location is excellent, perhaps less than 100 meters from Gaslini. It was fairly clean, and both the staff and manager were very helpful.

What I can’t overlook is the poor cleanliness and the ants quietly crawling beside the bed. This was an expensive, deeply disappointing stay, especially for families bringing children to the nearby Gaslini hospital. I’m sorry, but I can’t recommend it. We paid €131 a night for two adults and a two-and-a-half-year-old. The room was a double with a camping cot, and we had to bring our own cot sheets, as we were told when booking. We also had no towels for the baby. The office told us by phone that the baby didn’t count because we’d booked a double, not a triple, even though we had listed the baby on Booking.com. There was mold around the windows, and the smell made it seem to be in the air too. Breakfast wasn’t included, the room hadn’t been freshly painted in years, and there was no parking since the property is in the middle of a roundabout. There weren’t services nearby, and street noise came through because the building wasn’t insulated.
