The shared bathrooms were extremely dirty, which was disappointing. The worst part, though, was the receptionist’s behavior. I was calmly trying to sort out a simple check-in problem, and he became rude and disrespectful. He even called me “piccola puttana” in Italian. That’s unacceptable. No guest, especially a woman, should be spoken to that way by someone in customer service. He was aggressive and dismissive instead of helping, and deeply unprofessional. Between that and the dirty bathrooms, I’d never stay here again and can’t recommend the place to anyone. I travel often, and this was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. If basic respect and professionalism matter to you, find another hotel.

Our spacious room was very comfortable, and the service was courteous and professional. The building itself was truly lovely, and the location was excellent. We shared two bathrooms, but that wasn’t a problem: both were large and clean, the shower had hot water, and fresh towels were easy to get. I’d certainly come back next time I visit this wonderful city.

I live in Genoa, and the transport connections here are really handy. Lots of buses stop right outside, including the airport bus. The place was clean and felt fine throughout; we got two towels each, and the man who checked us in explained everything. After checking in, you get keys for the building’s front door, the hotel door, and your room. Free Wi-Fi, reasonable prices, and we slept well. The photos I added show the hallway to the rooms.

Our booking seemed fine until we arrived in Genoa. Right after we got off the FlixBus, we were told the room had been cancelled, and the hotel gave us no reason at all. We had to find somewhere else at short notice, and it cost more. I again disagree with Patrick’s seemingly rational rating.

The accommodations are nice and unusual. The “hotel” looks like an old apartment converted into separate rooms. Finding it can be a little tricky, and parking is in a lot about a 5-10 minute walk away.
