I liked the kind, professional staff and the beautiful terrace upstairs. The hotel has an old fashioned feel, though the rooms are nice, the shower has strong pressure, and with the curtains shut you can’t tell what time it is. It’s literally two min from the train station. I thought 280€ for a double bed for 2 nights was a bit much, hence the 4 stars, but I’d still recommend it.

We stayed here before our cruise, and the terminal looks like it’s a short walk away. From the station, walk left around the outside to find crosswalks, then keep to the left side of the street. The entrance is secure, with reception. The building is older with some modern updates, plus an in-room fridge and kettle and free wifi. One annoyance, the hallway motion lights switch off too fast, which makes getting the room key in tricky.

A very clean place with friendly staff. Our room had a small fridge and coffee maker, and breakfast was 10€.

The train station is literally about 200 ft away, so it was great to leave our luggage and head straight out. There’s also a beautiful third story terrace overlooking Genoa, where you can have breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine later in the day.

It’s extremely close to Piazza Principe Train station and the price is reasonable. The reception staff don’t speak English, though they’re nice and professional. The rooms have been renovated, but the hotel still feels old, and I could smell cigarette smoke in my room. On the plus side, the shower water was hot and pleasant, and the curtains kept the sunlight out.
