La Quiete

A really caring and very friendly host. I can’t think of anything negative to say.

Breakfast was fantastic and available all day in the common room, so we could get up whenever suited us. Our room was very clean, with fresh towels and linens changed daily, and the floors and bathroom were cleaned regularly. The host welcomed us warmly and carried our luggage when we arrived. The narrow road and its hairpin bends were the only downside. But the place is up in the hills, with no nearby roads or neighbors, so it was very quiet. We slept with the windows open without being disturbed. We had a great stay and highly recommend it.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner. The house sits in a quiet spot, though the road leading to it is a little narrow.

The owner was incredibly friendly and personable. His English wasn’t perfect, but we communicated easily, and he helped with our luggage and showed us to the room as soon as we arrived. The room was simply furnished, but fantastic for the price, with a clean bathroom and a hairdryer. Outside each room there’s a table with a little coffee machine, ACE juice and supermarket pastries. It’s no hotel buffet, but it suits the feel of the place. We stayed one night, and the drive was quite a challenge. Good thing we had a small car, though it was well worth it. When we had a tire pressure problem as we were leaving, the owner lent a hand with his compressor and told us where to go. There aren’t compressors at gas stations in this area like there are in Germany. Highly recommended!
