The location felt very shady. I could see many homeless people sleeping around the hotel from the window, and they shouted at night. With the room’s sliding doors, I didn’t feel safe. The sink was full of beard shavings when I went in to wash my hands, which was disgusting. I wouldn’t sleep here again even if it were free.

The price, location, and quality make this a pretty good compromise. It’s right above the metro and only steps from the old town, and breakfast is available for an extra 4 EUR. The room photos do reflect the place, though they may not quite do the room justice. Expect a golden, baroque atmosphere. One caveat: street noise could be a problem if you sleep lightly, so earplugs might help. We also had trouble with the bathroom shower head, which sprayed water in just about every direction. And to be clear, it’s a guesthouse, not a hotel.

The rooms can be pretty noisy, but we still had a very comfortable, pleasant stay. Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and breakfast was very good.

The location is good, and the internet was super fast. The rest was a big disappointment. The room was dirty, and the headboard had obvious sweat marks that made sleeping there frightening. The toilet and bidet looked yellow and stained, as if they hadn't been cleaned. Hygiene overall was poor. We chose this place largely because the dining room was shown in the photos, but it wasn't available, and that hadn't been mentioned. Other pictured decorations, including carpets and flowers, were missing too. There were no hosts on site, and replies on WhatsApp took more than a day, which is unacceptable for a hotel.
