It was handy being just a few minutes' walk from Genoa's center and the aquarium, but the cleanliness was a real problem. The kitchen and dishes especially needed serious scrubbing, and we ended up cleaning the whole place and its fixtures ourselves. I called the manager to complain and didn't even get a basic apology. There were six of us, but only four sets of towels when we arrived. The sofa-bed sheets were extremely dirty too. After I complained, both were replaced the next day. The kitchen table shows the same lack of care, with one leg propped up on a rolled piece of cardboard. A personal inspection would go a long way.

The garage was handy, and the location is central. The apartment is large and renovated, but the floors seemed to have only been swept, not washed. One wooden slat on the double bed was broken, the TV remote didn't work, and the second bedroom had no air conditioning. There are two portable units, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Both bathrooms were clean. The larger one had a broken toilet seat and no window.
