So & Leo Guest House

Loved our stay. Communication was great and someone was there to greet us. The room was clean, modern, and interesting, and there was coffee available in the shared area. The location is great. Head left toward the marina when you leave to see the multi-million-pound boats.

Simone is amazing, so kind and welcoming, with a lovely soul. She felt like an old friend we hadn’t seen in years. We arrived a little later than the usual check-in time, but she waited for us. The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, and it’s a perfect base in central Genova. The metro is four minutes away and the water is close by. You can walk all over the old town, and Simone also gave us her best nearby restaurant recommendations.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at So & Leo's. The guest house is centrally located across from the old harbor, close to restaurants, outdoor cafes, and shops, with the heart of the old city just steps away. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, and the adjoining bathroom had an excellent shower, plenty of towels, and supplies. Coffee and biscuits were available in the common area. Our hostess, Siminoa (So), was gracious, friendly, and fun. She let us check in early and store our bags on the afternoon we left. Highly, highly recommend.

We had to arrive late because of our train, but the hotel wouldn't let us in. They tried contacting us by SMS, which we couldn't receive without a local SIM. With every other hotel full for a local event, my two elderly parents and I ended up sleeping outside on the ground. Not much help when people are in need.
