The food and service were outstanding, as always. This was our fourth visit as a family of four, and we had a great time enjoying nature at an easy pace, away from the city crowds. Next time I’ll try not to spend so much time studying while I’m here. I’ll come back with my girlfriend.

From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The B&B is beautiful, with a lovely rustic atmosphere and picture-perfect views. It was such an amazing experience, I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks for everything, and until next time!

The hosts always make me feel at home, and Borgo Cerquelle has become a regular stop whenever guests come to see me in Pontelandolfo. Lunch is made fresh, course after course, with many ingredients coming straight from the farm. Everything is local and absolutely delicious, a chance to enjoy true artigianal cooking in a place dating back to the Middle Ages. There’s plenty for the whole family to do. You can walk through the clearly marked herb garden, visit the barn and play with the animals, or let the kids burn off some energy on the adventure course. I also love sitting on the hillside between courses and taking in the Sannio hills.

The farm is reached by driving up a mountain road, and once there you’re surrounded by fields, gardens, and pastures. There are animals everywhere, all well cared for, which was a big plus for us as two traveling veterinarians who enjoy agriturismi. But it was Alverio and his family who made the stay so special. They welcomed us like friends, made sure we were comfortable, and cooked delicious meals using food they’d grown themselves. My five-year-old wanted to take in every part of farm life, and Alverio took him under his wing. He helped feed the animals, water the grapes, and check on the potatoes. Our family found the stay life-changing. If you’re looking for time in nature, this is a wonderful place. I only wish we’d booked an extra week.

The children and adults both get to take part in farm life here, from feeding the horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and wild pigs to learning how a natural organic farm works. The homemade local food is wonderful, and the red and white wine is delicious. Alverio and his family look after you as if you belong to them. We come to Borgo Cerquelle regularly. It’s a real gem, tucked away off the beaten path.
