B&B My Sicily

Our experience with the property and host was very unpleasant. We were meant to arrive on July 5, the day Etna erupted. After being delayed at the airport for several hours, we were told the plane wouldn’t take off because Catania airport was closed and local authorities had issued a red alert. When we called the car rental company, they confirmed it and said all the roads were closed and covered in ash. We kept the host updated through the day, explaining that we couldn’t get there. We suggested moving our arrival a few days later once things had settled, paying for the first night and an extra day as a penalty. If there was no availability at such short notice, we offered to reschedule for another time that year. Or we could pay for the first night and get the rest refunded. The host showed no empathy or understanding, rejected all the options, offered no alternatives, and kept all our money. I wonder whether Mrs Stefania would have gone to relax and spend her annual holiday in an area considered high risk and dangerous at the time.

Stefania, the owner, did everything she could to make our stay pleasant, and she prepared the wonderful breakfast herself. We highly recommend this place.

The owner, her father and daughter are such lovely, caring people. The B&B is tastefully done, and the breakfast was lovely too. My stay here was beautiful, and I’d recommend it to all my family for their time in Sicily. I’d definitely go back, 100% recommend!

The father and daughter were extremely nice, and our room was super clean and comfortable, just as expected. The breakfast was perfect. By far the best B&B in Sicily, and we strongly recommend it to anyone visiting.
