That huge patio, with its hot tub and incredible view, was where I found real peace. Sitting in the sun with a gentle sea breeze, I actually fell asleep there at 4 in the afternoon. The home sits right on the water near Taormina, with the ocean ahead and Mount Etna in the background. The bedroom and kitchen both open onto the patio, and seafood restaurants line the boulevard just around the corner. I was worried street parking might be difficult, especially at peak times, but we ended up having no problem. One thing to know: the parking meters only take cash coins, as the card function doesn't work. The place is beautiful, convenient, and very affordable. Without question, I'd stay here again.

The photos don't capture how stunning it is. The huge private terrace is amazing, and both bedrooms have AC. The kitchen is well stocked. There are several seafront restaurants nearby, and a nice beach just across the street, with crystal clear water and snorkeling as good as Isola Bella. We shared it with only a handful of locals. The bus stop for Taormina is opposite and the ride takes ten minutes, costs 3 euro, and is completely comfortable. Cars do pass along the street below the terrace, but they go about 15 mph and don't spoil the experience.
