At the A CASA MIA B&B, history really surrounds you. It's inside the 13th-century Palazzo Paglia in Giovinazzo's old center, a seaside town north of Bari with a thousand years of history. Local accounts say Blessed Nicola Paglia, a major figure in the Dominican order, was born here, as was St. Dominic, its founder. After around 800 years in Perugia, Blessed Nicola Paglia's remains returned to Giovinazzo and are now in the Church of St. Dominic and St. Rosa, on the main square. The church also holds the remains of a 16th-century triptych by Venetian painter Lorenzo Lotto. It was shown at the 2015 Milan Expo and in 2019 at Palazzo Lanfranchi in Matera. Visit Giovinazzo and Palazzo Paglia, and let the history envelop you.

Everything was wonderful. The owners were kind and welcoming, and the place was clean. It's centrally located for amenities and close to the sea, a good spot to relax. Highly recommended.
