Riva del Sole

Gaetano, the shuttle driver, along with Manola, Tomaso, and Ana Maria were outstanding. They really helped make our time in the city worthwhile. The room itself wasn’t worth what we paid. The old AC wouldn’t work even set to 16°C. When I asked Gaetano at reception for help, he said to set it to 19°C and that it would fix things. I still can’t believe that was his answer. The bed was old, the pillows had gone completely flat, and water leaked in the bathroom because the door wouldn’t shut properly.

Breakfast was the one decent part. We were promised breakfast boxes for our early flight and help arranging an airport taxi, but there were no boxes, and the taxi cost us 40 euro for 10km, which seemed like it was probably a scam. The hotel felt poor for the price, and there isn’t good transport nearby. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Everything was spotless and spacious, and the facilities were outstanding. It’s such a peaceful place, with friendly people welcoming you with smiles and good energy wherever you go. A lovely choice for a romantic getaway 🥰🥰🥰

Breakfast was good, and the rooms were cleaned every day. Still, the rooms are basic and don’t feel like four-star rooms. There wasn’t even a kettle or coffee machine, and no coffee available to buy. The pool felt overrated, and you have to pay 3 euros for a cap. We had a trip at 6:30, but breakfast wasn’t open, so they wouldn’t let us have coffee. The hotel is far from Bari and public transport is poor. At the beach, you can only sit in certain spots because umbrellas are reserved for people from other hotels.
