Hotel Bellavista

We were surprised by how cozy and good this hotel was. Although it’s a 3-star place with around 70 rooms and lots of guests, they still pay attention to everyone. The rooms are comfortable enough and the bathrooms are good quality. The food gets only praise from me: tasty omelettes at breakfast and delicious dinners, with a choice of two dishes. It’s a great fit for skiers looking for good value for the price.

We spent a week here in February 2024 as part of a Crystal ski package, staying half board. It was really good value. There was plenty of food, though drinks with dinner cost extra, even water. Breakfast had eggs, cold meats, cheese, and the usual continental options. Dinner started with salad, then primi, secondi, and pudding. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the Pinzolo gondola, but there’s a minibus shuttle in the morning and afternoon. You can leave skis in the heated ski and boot room. Private lockers are heated too, but cost extra. The ski bus and public bus also stop outside for trips to Fulgarida or Madonna. Our room was a reasonable size, very clean, and had a lovely view over Pinzolo and a balcony. The hairdryer was very old fashioned, so I’d suggest bringing your own. I can’t fault the service. Andrea was especially helpful, and most of the staff speak English, which was very useful for us.

The staff were really nice, and there are lovely views around the hotel. It’s about 1 km to the ski lift, but the whole place feels old fashioned, like it might have been new 25 years ago. Our room was on the small side, the bed too hard, though room service came every day. Breakfast was limited, with no vegetables. You could get an omelet or scrambled eggs, but the oats came in a tiny bowl with a toddler sized portion. There were lots of cheap biscuits and only kiwis for fruit. Dinner meant two main dishes and a salad bar that was mostly cabbage and carrots. The mains were usually meat, pasta, potatoes, or soup, but everything tasted very bland. I only ate because I’d paid for it. Drinks at 5.50 euros were far too expensive.

The location is perfect, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly, easygoing, and ready to help. The service is outstanding. I’d definitely come back.
