The food and service were the highlights for us. I especially liked flurin, with its blend of different cultures, and the prices seemed reasonable for that kind of food. The other restaurant serves more traditional local dishes, and those were so delicious too. We ended up staying at the bar for a few more drinks after dinner. Thanks to Alex the bartender’s enthusiastic welcome. We also appreciated Thomas’ hospitality and the wonderful place he has created, which really brings out what makes this town special. We even joked that we might have seen the big boss walking out from the book. We’ll definitely come back. I loved the mix of beautiful ancient housing styles and incredible interior design.

The meal itself had a few bright spots: the drinks were fine, the duo d’oca was pleasant though the meat could have been more tender, and the ricotta ravioli were very good and nicely balanced. The cappelletti with goat cheese filling, though, were extremely salty and not enjoyable. The atmosphere was generally pleasant, but the chalkboards on the walls felt out of place. The entrance could use more care, since it doesn’t show the restaurant’s full potential. Service was uneven. Our welcoming waiter was friendly, as was the woman who brought the appetisers, but she accidentally dropped a long hair onto my daughter’s cutlery, which put us off. Staff handling food should tie their hair back properly. The waitress who took our order was polite in her words, but her body language felt unfriendly, especially toward me. When bringing my dish, she put it straight into my hands instead of setting it down, which came across as unprofessional. It left me with the impression that guests who aren’t especially well dressed might not feel fully welcome. There were some enjoyable parts, but the experience as a whole lacked consistency. Better service, more attention to detail, and better balance in the dishes could make this a much more enjoyable restaurant.

The food was amazing, and the medieval building has such a beautiful interior. This place is a hidden gem. We hope to come back many times.

We sat in the garden with a few friends while travelling. It didn’t look especially striking at first, but we were glad we gave it a try. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They brought us a complimentary starter, and the non-alcoholic drinks were delicious and thoughtfully made. The vegetable and fish ravioli were exquisite in both flavour and presentation, even though the portions weren’t large, which is often the case in high-quality restaurants. I spotted a cookbook at the bar and wondered if the chef was well regarded in the region. If so, the food certainly lives up to that reputation. Congratulations to them. This hotel restaurant could be easy to miss while walking through Glorens, the smallest walled town in Italy. I found it while looking for a quiet break from the noise and traffic of nearby spots, and it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. I’d happily return and recommend it.

We stopped for lunch on our way from South Tyrol to Engadine. The village is interesting and worth visiting, and the food was very good. The staff were helpful and knew how to work around our gluten-free and dairy-free needs.
