Residenza Chrysalis Bay

The location is TOP, though it’s worth checking exactly where the apartment you’re booking is, since the experience can vary from one spot to another. I’ve been coming to Chrysalis since 1980, sometimes on my own, sometimes with my children or grandchildren. It’s a wonderful place in an enviable location. My apartment is for two weeks on the 19th.

The apartment was older, but clean and spacious, with a sunny balcony and a magnificent sea view. The service was friendly, and I’d gladly stay again. There’s a small beach in the village, while a 10-minute walk takes you to a large, beautiful sandy beach with turquoise water, a pleasant beach bar, and sun umbrellas. It’s one of the most beautiful places on the Costa Smeralda, with a large apartment complex overlooking the bay.

The property is comfortable and pleasant, set in a beautiful area. The view across the Gulf of Pevero is splendid.

The view from the apartment was lovely, but I was uncomfortable there the whole time. In July it gets incredibly hot. There is air conditioning, but you pay extra for it, can’t set it below a certain temperature, and the cost comes as a surprise since you can’t track your usage. The fridge also has to be set to its lowest setting, and even then it didn’t cool properly, so I had to throw away food. Its door wouldn’t close properly either. At these prices, they could include air conditioning and replace those old refrigerators. Are we in Porto Cervo or Coccia di Morto like in the Cortellesi movie? Never again!
