In the end, I’m glad we didn’t hold my daughter’s baptism here and chose Corte Rubja. We found trained, professional staff elsewhere who arranged the event in under two days, kept their agreements, and didn’t make a lot of empty promises. Mr. Casula talks well, but our experience was the opposite. He asked for a supposed 30% deposit without telling us the total, so we didn’t know 30% of what. After we confirmed, he never contacted us again and kept passing things to the chef, who apparently couldn’t handle payments or decisions beyond the menu. I’ve worked in restaurants for years, and I don’t think Mr. Casula has much idea how to organize an event. It seemed he’d never handled 100 guests in one evening. Maybe turning tables is easier. He nearly ruined the baptism party, but we were lucky to find a better option. I don’t expect an adequate reply, since the responses I’ve seen don’t line up with the facts.

The place is nice, though it was deserted. Dinner was fairly good, but the professionalism wasn’t there. We’d agreed on two main courses, then realized we were full and asked the owner if we could pick the second course from the menu to avoid food waste. Even with the savings from that change, the dinner price stayed exactly the same. The roast suckling pig with myrtle leaves left me especially disappointed.

I strongly recommend avoiding this place for a large event. We’d been planning one for 100 people for two months, speaking with someone the owner had assigned to us. We sorted out the menu, room and date, with a few details left to settle. When we went back to speak with the owner, he didn’t show up and kept sending us to the other person, who couldn’t make decisions. We were told they’d call to finish things, but no one did, and time was running out. When we finally spoke with the owner, he said nothing more could be arranged because he couldn’t organize it in two days. Two days? We’d spent two months planning with his delegate while the owner had disappeared. Luckily, we found fantastic, fully professional people at CORTE RUBJA, who really organized the event in just two days without any problems.

I haven’t stayed with you, and after the earlier experience I never would. I was there for other reasons. You answer every review by saying customers have it wrong, but if so many reviews are negative, there has to be a reason. Maybe you’re not seeing the real problems. Reviews are our chance to share what happened, good or bad, and experiences are subjective. Some people have a good one, some don’t. Most people clearly aren’t having a good experience with you. You should take the criticism as advice and work on it instead of insisting you do everything perfectly. Places that do good work have full rooms. If that isn’t happening, you need to ask yourself some questions. Best regards.
