I have to give this one star. I booked directly through his phone number, not through Booking, because that was the owner’s preference. The next day the owner messaged me saying he’d been told I was bringing my dog, even though Booking says animals are accepted in the apartment. He then asked for an extra payment because he said there were some hairs on the sofa and a scratch on the door. That scratch was already there. Mr. Miceli, this kind of game is old. I told the owner there were much bigger things to worry about in that apartment than my dog’s hair. I’d put a clean sheet on the sofa, and before leaving I cleaned the whole apartment and even washed the floor. I hadn’t found the place in great condition, but I was there for work and didn’t pay much attention to the details at first. The handles were all dirty and sticky, the ladles were dirty, and there was still water in the kettle. The sofa bed only had a duvet, with no top sheet, and the pillows were so bad I’d have been more comfortable on stones. The hot water either didn’t come or came intermittently, making a shower a nightmare. There were hairs in the shower and plenty more things I could list for two pages. If you spot any damage, take photos and report it right away. And if Mr. Miceli has rules that allow prices to change, he should put them clearly in writing in a legally proper way.
