Club Del Sole Tenuta Primero Grado Family Collection

We came hoping to relax and went home more stressed. The pool was shut on a bright, sunny day because staff said it was cloudy and might rain. We waited at reception for it to open and got a very rude response. We'd also been told at check-in that dogs were welcome on the beach, but the lifeguards told us to leave because dogs weren't allowed there. We had to get a document from reception. A total fiasco, and the worst customer service I've ever seen.

We had a fantastic few days with the kids. The mobile home was very clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and we had lots of fun around the pool. In the evenings we explored beautiful Grado. The weather wasn't great, but we did get to visit Venice on our last day. The beach was the one thing we didn't like much. You have to watch the tides, because at low tide it's useless.

We booked eight days but are leaving early because our son has allergies and pesticides are sprayed at night to deal with all the mosquitoes. He's now having breathing problems. I won't even get into the other problems: filthy sanitary facilities that are truly unacceptable, a dirty beach, and a completely outdated sea area. If you care about your health, find another campsite. Nobody here tells you about any of this.

We were there with our camper van from June 13 to 18 at Club Tenuta Primero Grado. We'd originally booked and paid for June 13 to 17, then added one more night. The wristbands used for purchases around the campsite seemed like a great idea at first. The kids could go to the supermarket, and we didn't need to take our wallets to the beach. When we extended, we were told any unused balance would be refunded at checkout. But on June 18 the wristbands had stopped working, and reception couldn't check what credit was left. One employee tried to reach the manager, but after about two hours it still wasn't sorted. We didn't know the exact amount, so suggested a provisional €50 refund. That wasn't possible either: a young staff member had already checked us out, and the system wouldn't allow a refund afterward. We were told to email. It's been over two weeks and we still haven't had a reply. Club del sole still owes us money. Several advertised activities weren't available. Primero Splash Bay wasn't ready or accessible. No boats could be rented at Station 15 (Boat Rent), apparently because the service wasn't offered that season, for reasons we don't know. At Station 12 (Bike Park), there were no pedal boats either, only kayaks. Our pitch was also very uneven and covered in little pieces of broken laminate flooring. They got everywhere in the van and especially in our dog's coat, and they hurt when stepped on. There were some good points. The campsite is very dog friendly, and in June the beach was nearly empty, probably because of seaweed and the muddy shore. Swimming wasn't possible, but we still liked being able to let our dog run there on a long leash. The site wasn't crowded, so we could relax, and the distances were short. The supermarket had a great selection too. We probably would have given four stars, but it's absolutely unacceptable that the campsite owes us money and doesn't seem to care.
