La Piazza

At midnight we had to ask the maids to replace the sheets, pillowcases, and towels because they were stained and had hair on them. They patiently changed everything, and we thank them for that. We were 12 friends and booked a night at B&B La Piazza in Gragnano, which is accredited by Airbnb. After we booked through Airbnb, the property let the reservation expire and made us book privately outside the Airbnb network. When we arrived, the place was rather dilapidated. One of our four rooms, confirmed by message as a triple room for double use, was basically an open sofa bed in the middle of a kitchen. The owner’s restaurant is absolutely not recommended.

The breakfast is served at a bar that isn’t the best, and that’s the one thing I’d suggest improving. Still, for what we paid, the value was excellent. We also had a lovely meal at the restaurant below the B&B, run by the same owner, who was an excellent, kind, and friendly host. The seafood was delicious, the wine was good, and it all cost very little. The rooms were recently renovated, spacious, and tastefully furnished. There are a lot of stairs and no elevator because it’s a historic building, but a very kind young man carried our bags up.

We had a wonderful stay and lacked nothing. The rooms were new and spotless, the staff welcoming and helpful, and breakfast at the bar had everything we wanted. There’s convenient parking on site, too. It’s a handy base for the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento Peninsula, Capri, and the Pompeii ruins. The restaurant on the ground floor is excellent.

The staff at the bed and breakfast were incredibly friendly, and the rooms were spotless. It’s also convenient for reaching nearby attractions. If you get the chance, eat at the restaurant downstairs. The food is delicious, and the waiter is so kind and passionate about his work. He really knows how to look after customers. Excellent.
