The nearby parking lot was crowded even in the evening, and you need a parking disc. There's a popular bar close by. We spent three nights here in early January, and the price we were quoted was higher than the website price we saw on arrival. The air conditioning was the only way to heat the room, despite there being radiators, and it wasn't enough for the room or especially the bathroom. There was no temperature remote, just a button by the bed to switch it on or off. We used the hair dryer to warm the bathroom. At night the unit was too noisy to sleep with, but turning it off made the cold unbearable. After the first night, we asked the owner to get an electric heater. He said he didn't have one and wasn't willing to buy one. We wanted to move elsewhere, but he wouldn't refund the nights we hadn't used. Luckily, some acquaintances gave us hot water bottles, which helped us sleep.

The owner was kind and willing to help with what guests need. We asked for breakfast earlier than the usual time, and he accommodated us. I was there for work, attending a conference in Baveno on Lake Maggiore, just a 10-minute drive away at most. Getting to the B&B was easy, and there was convenient parking 30 meters from it. My room was bright, clean, comfortable, and pleasant, with a coffee machine. The bathroom had a bidet and a large shower, though it was a little narrow for two people to use at once. It was a great stay.

The little apartment was just as advertised and ideal for our one-night stay. The bedroom was quite spacious; the fairly new bathroom was smaller but practical and functional. We also found the small balcony handy for drying clothes. The ceiling fan and air conditioning were welcome and worked very well. Linens and toiletries were supplied, including hand soap, shower gel, and a cup, along with the bed linen. The couple were lovely, although he spoke only Italian and she understood only basic French. We highly recommend it.

I stayed for a week on a business trip. My room had plenty of space, a small balcony, another window, and a bathroom with a shower. The area was very quiet, and the owner was extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast came to the room. It was perhaps a little limited, but acceptable all the same. The bed and breakfast was very nice and well looked after. I'd definitely return to Il Paesello if I'm in the Gravellona area again.
