We arrived late and found a dust mite and a dirty cover. It was disgusting, so we didn’t sleep there. We spent no more than 15 minutes in the room, just checking the bed for more insects, then booked another hotel that same night. When we asked the host for a refund the next day, they said we must have slept in the beds because “it didn’t look like a bed that was not slept in”. The host and service were horrible, and we lost part of our money. Don’t make the same mistake.

Pietro was thoughtful and very helpful, and we had an excellent welcome. The room was quiet and very clean, with nice extras like coffee, a fridge, and snacks. The location is perfect for Matera. Strongly recommended!

We spent two nights here and found it a wonderful place. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the Aqueduct Bridge and close to the city center. The owner, Giacomo, and the rest of the staff were kind and happy to help with all our needs. The cleanliness and attention to detail deserve a special mention. Highly recommend!
