B&B Il Cantico

The room and bathroom were spotless, and breakfast was more than enough. Mrs. Teresa was very kind and helpful, too. The location is excellent, just a few meters from the Sanctuary of St. Francis.

They even sent us off with the leftover fig tart they’d baked for the Camino. It was spectacular! We stayed on the first floor of the same house as the family who runs the B&B, and they made us feel right at home. After we got soaked walking the Camino de San Francisco, they dried our wet clothes and drove us to a restaurant in Greccio that evening. The next morning, they made us a wonderful breakfast with lots of delicious homemade food. I hope to be back in the area soon so I can visit again :)

Maria Teresa deserves a thank you for being so organized and always available to open the gate, since guests can’t come and go on their own. The B&B is about 200 meters from the Franciscan sanctuary of Greccio and makes a handy base for visiting the Franciscan sanctuaries and Marmore Falls. There are two rooms, each with a private bathroom outside the room. Breakfast is excellent, with Maria Teresa’s homemade cakes, cold cuts, yogurt, and more. They also sell charming handmade wooden souvenirs.

The hosts’ kindness and helpfulness made our stay even nicer. Breakfast was generous, tasty, and had plenty to choose from. The property is clean and well placed near the sanctuary, the Marmore mountains, and the lakes. Highly recommended.
