I was warm, comfortable, and very well looked after during my nine-day stay, which included New Year's Eve. That was the best New Year's Eve I've ever had, with a wonderful multi-course meal and wines to go with it. The cooking was traditional and there was always plenty to eat. Breakfast was an excellent buffet, enough to set me up for a day skiing in outstanding conditions. It had a very friendly Italian family atmosphere. Bob S8

Gigi, the owner of Hotel Lysjoch, was one of the kindest hotel owners I've met. When snowfall forced us to turn back from 4000m, he helped us without any fuss and arranged rooms at a nearby hotel. He also found us a place to stay in the Gran Paradiso area when we wanted to hike there. He was always looking for ways to make things work for his guests. We spent our holiday at the end of July and beginning of August 2016. The hotel is cosy and welcoming, with spacious, very clean rooms and wooden furniture that suits the mountain setting. The food was delicious, with vegetarian choices alongside classic Italian and Val-D'Aosta dishes, and a good range of wines.

Really friendly place, with good-sized rooms and great food, including plenty of gluten-free choices and gluten-free beer. You can ski right to the door, and the ski bus stop is a minute away. A great week.

The staff were so kind and helpful, especially with tips on finding the hidden corners of the Gressoney valley. It's a welcoming mountain hotel, with clean, cosy rooms and a great restaurant.
