The cooking class was one of the best parts of our trip, and the wine tour with lunch was a treat too, with several courses and lots of food and tastings. Elena, her family, and the staff welcomed us like family, and Elena was so generous and warm throughout our stay. We also loved the fantastic breakfast and friendly atmosphere. The estate has vineyards and that magical, movie-like Tuscan feel, with quaint Greve just nearby. We used it as a base for drives around Tuscany and visits to nearby wineries. Such a beautiful retreat, we'd happily recommend it.

We loved making a quick dinner in the apartment and eating outside as the sun went down. There are lots of tables, and breakfast outside was just as nice, with lovely spaces and atmosphere. It feels like a real, rural Tuscan way of life. The pool was a great way to start the morning, and the location worked well for day trips, with Firenze about a 30 minute drive away. The service and amenities were great. We found the wine tasting insightful and enjoyable, and their olive oil is fantastic. Try it, and grab a bottle.

The lunch was delicious, especially the beef and boar ragu, and the dessert was out of this world. Earlier, Elena and our guide Fillipo took us around the grounds, then served charcuterie with wine and olive oil tastings. They were friendly and knew their stuff. I really recommend the tour and their wines and oils. My favorite was the chanti classico, which goes with pretty much any meal. This was such a relaxing break from the crowds in Rome and Naples, and it had that Tuscan movie feeling. Go, take it easy, and enjoy the trip.

We were glad to have a supermarket about a 10 minute drive away in Greve Centre, which made stocking up for meals easy. The downside is that the trip back to the farmhouse gets tedious if you make it more than once a day. The drive up is a little treacherous but manageable, even in a small Fiat. It's quite remote and only breakfast was provided, though the view and pool were lovely. We stayed four nights and found it mostly pleasant.
