Hotel Marchesini

I paid €180 for two nights, on my own, just to escape the heat, but there was no air conditioning or even a fan, and it was 38 degrees outside. The room also wasn't the one I'd booked. Before coming, I tried calling the property several times and nobody called back. I had notified them through the app that I'd be checking in late, since that was the only way to reach them, but they still made me feel bad about it. The app says reception is open 24 hours, which simply isn't true. When I arrived, everything looked closed, and calls made the phone inside ring endlessly. I never once saw the owner wearing a mask. I found her haughty and disrespectful, as if letting me stay were a favor. The place is old and unattractive, more like a clubhouse than a hotel, and the price for what you get is absurd. There are much better places nearby for the same cost. I only ended up here because everywhere else was booked, and now I understand why this was the only place left.

I've been here for work for about two months, and I can say the place is very clean and the food is divine. The owner, Aunt Paola as I call her, is such a good and kind person. It's a beautiful place, so I invite you to come. Thank you, Aunt Paola, for all you do.

The breakfast was very generous, with lots of local products and homemade food. The bergamot jam was very good, as were the pear and chocolate cake and the ginger cake. The staff were kind, helpful, and qualified.

I spent three weeks here for work. It's a clean hotel, the food is excellent and plentiful, and the owner is very friendly. I'll come back.
