Griante Le Maioliche Apt. 01

I booked several rooms months ahead through booking.com, but the hotel never replied to my messages or picked up the phone number they provided. After I cancelled, phishing texts started arriving from different numbers. They claimed to be administrators of Maioliche and asked me to “verify” my credit card on an external website.

I booked directly on their website months ahead, then realized five weeks before check-in that I had to cancel. There was no online way to cancel, and the hotel didn’t reply to my emails or answer the phone. Poor service.

We stayed one night in the three-bedroom apartment, which was very spacious and super clean. Sheryl was a wonderful host. She kept in touch by text from the time we landed in Milan until we reached Griante, checking that we were getting there safely and along the way. I can’t thank her enough, and I truly hope to return someday. Grazie mille, Sheryl. I highly recommend this place.

Sheryl was especially helpful, answering all our questions on WhatsApp and sharing great knowledge of both the apartment and the area. The apartment was spotless, with everything we needed in the kitchen, and worked perfectly for my family. It would suit couples just as well. Its position on Lake Como is ideal for a holiday, less than a ten-minute walk from the ferry to Bellagio and Varenna, and a ten-minute drive from Villa Del Balbianello.
