Mirabilia

The breakfast was a bright spot: Carla made pancakes and piadinas with different jams, along with coffee, tea, and milk. I still wouldn’t return unless the rooms were better heated and the place better cared for. We were four people aged 19 to 24, arriving on December 31. I’d expected a hotel, but this is a house. Carla hadn’t turned on the outside lights until I called to say we were on our way, and the welcome felt cold. There was a large dog that hadn’t been mentioned, though fortunately he was docile. The room heating didn’t work. Carla suggested leaving the door open for warmth, but we didn’t feel we could do that with our belongings inside and other guests in the house. There was a small heater, but it was removed while we were out at dinner, even though the room was locked. Carla was rude when handing over the keys and told us not to make a mess. When we got back, she was smoking inside, which bothered me personally. There was no hot water at night, probably because Carla turns it off. The rooms were dusty and full of cobwebs, and seemed poorly maintained.

The view is lovely, with beautiful sunsets, and in summer the air is fresh. I stayed in this beautiful spot with a friend and my sweet dog Penny. I’d suggest that Mrs. Carla take a little more care of the house.

The peace here really lets you recharge, and the scenery is excellent. B&B Mirabilia is a beautiful, well-kept place. This was my first stay at the Colli di San Fermo, and Mrs. Carla, the owner, was welcoming and helpful. Well done, Carla!!!!

Carla and her dog, Russel, have brought this distinctive, somewhat dated home to life. The homemade jams at breakfast were excellent.
