Tenuta dei Principi

Amazing.

The pool is clean, inviting, and already something we know we’ll miss. The grounds are beautifully kept, and there’s a little spa and wellness area, a fitness space, and a jacuzzi too. Tenuta dei Principi is also a handy base for exploring Tuscany, especially Maremma, then coming back for an early evening swim. We spent three lovely weeks at this beautiful agriturismo near Grosseto. The atmosphere and thoughtful decor charmed us, and the apartments are so nicely put together that we didn’t lack anything. The bedroom mattresses and pillows are on the firm side, which worked well for a restful night. Even the sofa bed had been made up properly, and we slept well on it. Sabrina and her team deserve our highest rating, and then some. Towels were changed regularly, shower gel and soap were topped up, and the apartment was cleaned weekly at a time arranged with Sabrina to suit us. We found it hard to leave after our week at Tenuta dei Principi. We went home feeling grateful and already wanting to return. Thank you so much! ❤️ Sabrina, the owner, and all her staff were kind, cheerful, and ready to help with whatever we needed. The place is looked after down to the smallest detail, and the calm, lovely Tuscan countryside left us feeling completely renewed. Everything was spotless, orderly, and welcoming, so we felt at home straight away. We also loved being able to pick fresh vegetables from the garden for free. It’s a small gesture, but says a lot about the care that goes into running the estate. The carts for carrying luggage were another thoughtful extra that made things easier.

The apartment was clean and tidy, with working air conditioning and mosquito nets on the windows. The bed is pretty hard but fine, the kitchen is small and pleasant, and while it isn’t especially well equipped, it has what you need. We could hear some noise in the apartment, though it didn’t bother us. Sabrina and her team were friendly, answered our questions, and suggested things to do and places to visit. Towels were changed twice during our 10 days, and the bed linen once. Really good service. The whole property is kept in great shape and everything was clean and neat. We especially liked the pool and outdoor area, as well as the sports equipment, jacuzzi, and bikes. It’s well placed for day trips and beach days, with a lovely clean sandy beach about a 10-15 minute drive away. We stayed in August, and one tip: pack plenty of Autan. There were lots of mosquitoes and horseflies around. Cover up properly and they’ll leave you alone, making it easier to enjoy the place.
