It was fun visiting as a foreigner!

The dogs howled constantly in the property’s garden, and in two nights we got only four hours of sleep. We also found out about the missing breakfast only after arriving, even though the property blamed it on “maintenance work.” Just before dinner, staff blasted music. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The check-in details online said guests could arrive until 9 PM, so we showed up at 7, planning to go out for dinner. Nobody was there. When we called, a young woman gave us an entry code and said she’d be right over. After about 45 minutes, we called again because we wanted to leave for dinner. She said she’d be there all night and we could hand over our documents later. We came back and still found nobody. Around midnight, people arrived for the room above ours, and the noise went on until about 2:30 AM, with shouting and commotion. We couldn’t reach staff, and no one came to quiet things down. We had a miserable night and woke up exhausted. In the morning, a young woman was finally at reception. She said she was very sorry, but clearly wasn’t the owner. What’s it to do with her if the owners seem like ghosts and don’t care? No real reception, wasted time, and a nearly sleepless night. Highly not recommended.

The place itself is lovely inside, clean and tidy, and the orchids in the rooms are beautiful. But we got trapped in our room when the doorknob failed. We made enough noise to probably wake everyone, eventually found a tool and forced the door open, yet nobody came to see what was going on. The owners and the establishment are fairly new, so I hope their service and the little details improve, including the long wait outside our door. I expected some gesture at checkout, maybe a free breakfast, after the trouble and commotion, but there wasn’t one, and I was disappointed. Then we had to come back because my dad forgot to hand over the key in all the confusion. Luckily, we were still nearby.
