Antica Masseria le Monache

We’ve stayed in plenty of places, but this was one of the best, and we’re already hoping to return. The food at breakfast and dinner was a highlight: varied, delicious, and freshly made by the hosts with local ingredients. The Masseria is quiet and beautiful, with everything needed for a relaxing break, including a pool. Our room was spotless, spacious, and well equipped. It’s also a handy base for beaches, landmarks, vineyards, and other lovely spots around the region. Andrea and Anthony made us feel like old friends. They were incredibly attentive, even with our toddler, and their recommendations helped us make the most of our days.

Dinner was a real treat. Andrea cooked a special menu each day with fresh local ingredients he bought that morning, and we loved every meal we had at the masseria. Anthony and Andrea were lovely, interesting people to talk with, and they shared great suggestions, booked restaurants, lent us beach things, and even shared books. The suites were spacious, spotless, cleaned daily, and full of great books. The place is beautifully decorated, with the genuine, welcoming feel of a masseria, and we loved relaxing by the pool. Anthony and Andrea were incredible hosts. A must! Thanks again to both of them.

We planned to stay four days at Antica Masseria Le Monache, but ended up spending seven because we fell in love with the place. My family and I had a wonderful time. Antonio and Andrea were attentive and eager to help us make the most of our stay, with suggestions for beaches, places to see, and great restaurants. We loved chatting and getting to know them. It was an unforgettable taste of an authentic Puglia lifestyle, and we’re sure we’ll return. Many thanks to Andrea and Antonio for all their hard work.

Mado the dog and Marcel the cat were part of the very sweet welcome from Anthony and Andrea when we arrived. They showed us around the beautifully renovated Masseria and our room, which was lovely and very clean. Their passion for hosting really comes through. Andrea cooked the best dinners we had on our trip around Puglia, and time by the pool was so peaceful. We’ll return as soon as we get the chance.
