We walked the Magna Via Francigena in June and stayed in a bright, lovely room with a terrace. The style was old fashioned, but it was very clean. Stefano was charming and so helpful, and even left us some of his wine and walnuts.

If luxury and every possible comfort are what you want, this won't suit you. But for a kind welcome and an authentic, simple taste of Sicily, it's a place I'd recommend. I stayed here on the MVF and enjoyed a chance to stop and take in the village as it really is. The rooms feel much as they did years ago, with an atmosphere that seems frozen in the 1970s. Stefano, the owner, greeted me with a smile and let me use the kitchen and both floors of the house. There were books about the village's history, and even a guitar.

After a really hard day of walking, Stefano left us chilled wine that he'd made himself, his own walnuts, fresh water, and a generous breakfast. His kindness made all the difference. What more could a pilgrim want?

Mr. Stefano was incredibly helpful and even drove us around the town. We stayed at the end of a stage on the Via Francigena pilgrimage route. The house was simple but had everything we needed, and breakfast was good. Highly recommended.
