3220 Villa Smeralda by Barbarhouse

The owners made a big difference for us. We called about a small issue with the induction cooktop, and they arrived within three minutes to help. They were friendly and really helpful. We also followed their suggestions for pizzerias and restaurants, ordering takeout and eating it at the villa. The food and that setting have stayed with us. We even booked a very skilled masseuse for a poolside massage, which was another special part of the stay. We come away for 3-4 days around my birthday each year with my wife and our daughters, who are 10 and 9. This time a friend pointed us toward this lovely private villa in the countryside, only a few kilometers from the main tourist spots. The photos and amenities looked great, but the place was a real surprise once we arrived. There’s a picnic spot among the pines with a barbecue and seating, plus a small soccer field. A little farther along, an outbuilding looks onto the pool through a glass window and has a kitchen with everything we needed. The Bluetooth speaker was great to have around. The main house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and another bathroom outside. It’s tastefully furnished with quality furniture, and there’s a huge TV. Outside, there’s a second barbecue area stocked with charcoal, wood, and fireclay. Seven bikes in different sizes gave us another fun way to switch things up between swims. Each year the girls get older, their needs and expectations change, so picking the right place gets harder. Giuseppe and Veronica, we hope to come back next year. All the best to you both!
