A dirt road branches off the provincial road between Gualdo Tadino and Poggio S. Ercolano and takes you to this agriturismo, tucked among the olive groves in the Umbrian hills. The rooms are beautiful and welcoming, and made for a night that felt like sleeping under the stars. Gilberto made us feel right at home. He was attentive, explained how the menu dishes were prepared, and even sat with us between courses to chat and check that everything was alright. The ingredients were top quality and cooked with real skill.

Gilberto greeted us with a smile and kept making sure we had one too. The property is new and well maintained, with a lovely landscape outside both day and night. I felt at home at Il Casalino, almost like being back in the place where I lived years ago, among friends. My room was spacious and well heated, with a comfortable bed, a very clean bathroom, and plenty of towels. I highly recommend it.

We celebrated both my wife's birthday and mine with 15 relatives. The food was top notch, the welcome was warm, and the service was excellent. The prices were surprisingly low too. The owner is exceptional. Recommended.

Gilberto welcomed us with real kindness and was always helpful, and his delicious cooking made us feel looked after. Each morning brought a generous breakfast where every detail had been considered.
