The room had a warm, welcoming feel, even though the building is rather old. Sheets and towels were provided and spotless, and the manager was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, right in the city center. My one issue was the shower: at least in my room, water escaped the stall and left the bathroom floor a bit wet. I'd recommend the place to anyone visiting Guardiagrele.

The terrace and its view were the one bright spot. I can't recommend this B&B at all. We called to book a double bed, but got two single beds pushed together instead. The TV in the room didn't work, and the bathroom had only commercial soap. The shower was tiny, with a visibly worn curtain and no cubicle. Staff were absent; a kind woman who does the cleaning greeted us, and after that we were left to manage on our own. For the services offered, the price is far too high.

Last week it was -3 degrees outside, and the rooms felt even colder. I wouldn't recommend staying here in winter. The building was cold, and although the heating was on, it wasn't efficient enough for such a large place. We reported the problem to the owner, but despite our being kind about it, he kept saying we were sensitive to the cold and even insinuated that we didn't want to pay.

The owner's willingness to help was remarkable, and he tried to meet all our needs. Still, after six nights, I felt the property needed maintenance, especially the bathroom and shower. The shower didn't always work properly, and its curtain instead of a stall only made things worse. The bathroom has no window, and the ventilation is completely inadequate. There was very little furniture, and since the place is in the town center, keeping the windows open meant constant loud noise. Our room was serviced once in six days, and that was rather slapdash. Many features are missing, the value for money is poor, and improvement is needed!
