Antica Residenza Montereano

The hospitality here was the best we’ve had across much of our travels. Andrea was thoughtful, kind, informative, and went out of his way to make the stay special; the other staff were really kind too. We loved Antica Residenza enough to add an extra night. Our room was fantastic, with beautiful views across the property, Gubbio, and the surrounding area. Breakfast each morning was great. We’d absolutely stay again.

I spent a few nights here and came away with a pleasant, memorable stay. It’s a calm, beautiful place, with tidy, super clean rooms and breathtaking views over the area. They prepare breakfast and meals there, and having them in the lovely garden was refreshing and benissimo. Thanks to the kind people who run this awesome place. Salute tutti!

I could happily spend all day at Montereano, relaxing and recharging. Breakfast in nature, a swim surrounded by greenery, the sunset with birds calling, and stars at night made it easy to enjoy the time and the people here. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the city center, yet feels like a different, much more relaxed world. A great choice if you enjoy Italian life but want to get away from the city. The garden and room were clean, the room was spacious with a comfortable bed, and the staff were helpful and wholehearted.

Francesca, Andrea, and their team made our stay truly memorable, with warm, professional service and careful attention to detail. The hilltop agriturismo has sweeping views of the Umbrian countryside, and the pool looks out in every direction. Our spacious, airy room was beautifully furnished, with tasteful decor and high-quality linens. Breakfast was a generous outdoor buffet, weather permitting, with homemade pastries, local fruit, salumi and formaggi. Their small-batch pasta and wine are well worth tasting.
