Hotel Porta Marmorea

We had a great Christmas stay with my family and small dog. The staff were attentive and very helpful, and the rooms were clean. They weren't huge, but had what we needed. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, with both sweet and savory options. The beautiful center of Gubbio is just a 5-minute walk away. Parking was the only snag, though if you're patient and look around, you should find a spot. We'll come back, and I highly recommend it.

A terrible stay, I wouldn't recommend it. The room was cramped, and the small reception was often shut during the day, so we had to look for staff at the adjacent hotel under the same management. It wasn't cheap, especially with breakfast costing €9. The air conditioning broke overnight and water soaked our shoes. The receptionist was unfriendly, though the morning lady was kind and attentive about the problem.

The rooms are clean, have what you need, and the hotel is well placed near Gubbio's historic center. It's very basic and could use an update. Breakfast is almost all sweet, with very few savory choices.

The room was clean and perfectly livable, but I felt it was a bit overpriced. The bathtub had been changed into a shower, and it wasn't particularly comfortable.
