Villa Soghetta Typ S2

We found the apartment well equipped, with a gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, and satellite TV. Outside, there was a private spot with a barbecue, table and chairs, and two loungers. The place sits right on the southern shore of clean Lake Idro, at the end of a quiet road with no through traffic. The views of the lake and mountains are fantastic, and everyday essentials are nearby, with larger supermarkets about a 12-minute drive away. The grounds are spacious, attractive, and very well kept, with lots of loungers and parasols by the sunbathing area. The pool is only knee-deep, so it works for a quick dip for adults and is fine for children. There’s also a volleyball court and plenty of grass for football or badminton. Everything was very clean, and the hostess was lovely. The main bedroom mattresses were good, and there was lots of closet and dresser space. The bathroom has a tub with a shower curtain, though the toilet area is a little cramped. The water is safe to drink. There’s no air conditioning, but we didn’t need it during the Pentecost weekend. It was generally peaceful, though motorcycles made some noise around the lake on weekends. We’d happily recommend the accommodation.

We found it easy to unwind here, and there are plenty of hiking opportunities nearby. The apartment is carefully laid out and has everything you need. The little booklet of local suggestions was a lovely touch, too. And those views are magnificent.

The apartment is lovely, and its spot right on Lake Idro is a dream. We can recommend it without hesitation. Such a beautiful place.

We'd happily return. The landlords were very accommodating, and the place was clean and well equipped. Its location also makes it ideal for families.
