Casa Vacanze I Girasoli

The room had a very comfortable bed, and the house was spacious with everything I needed. I was there for a week of work at the I Girasoli holiday home, and it felt more like being welcomed into a Sardinian home than staying in an ordinary hotel. It’s in a quiet but well-served part of Iglesias’ historic center. Francesca was kind and did her best to meet my personal needs. I hope I can come back soon. Highly recommended.

Francesca and her husband were attentive and always ready to help with what guests needed. I spent a few weeks at the “I Girasoli” vacation home and was glad I chose it. It’s very central, so the city’s main monuments are easy to reach on foot, and the neighborhood has plenty around: pizzerias, restaurants, clothing and shoe shops, tobacconists, supermarkets, and more. The house is large and especially suited to families. I loved the kitchen and the living room next to it, which gave the place a cozy, fireside feel. The terrace is practical too, with a washing machine and clotheslines. I’d recommend it whether you’re traveling alone or with friends.

Francesca gave us a warm welcome, with local pastries, wine, and other treats. She was also always available with suggestions for events, beaches, restaurants, and where to buy local food. The apartment has all the comforts a family needs and sits in a great part of Iglesias, in the historic center among bars and shops. Highly recommended!
